New immigrants have a new place to visit in Oakville, Ont.

The Oakville Centre for Education and Training officially opened the doors to the Newcomer Information and Language Assessment Centre on March 31.

It is a walk-in centre that offers information on various topics from employment and occupations, housing, health services, legal issues and social, community and recreational services.

The centre offers free assistance with no eligibility restrictions, along with extended hours.

Newcomers can receive service with credential evaluation and the Commissioner of Oath at this location.
