Electrical Engineering Connections - Online program starting October 15, 2018

This program is designed to support internationally-trained electrical engineering professionals with their integration into the Canadian labour market. Delivered online, this interactive program allows participants to gain knowledge of the Canadian and Ontario electrical codes and standards, labour market prospects, job search strategies and professional licensing in Ontario. 

The fee for the program is $500 plus HST (the program may be eligible for full reimbursement through the Ontario Bridging Participant Assistance Program).

Sector-specific modules in the program:

-Overview of Health and Safety Codes and Standards

-Applications of Measuring Instruments and Ontario Electric Code;

-Overview of Industrial Automation in Ontario Energy Systems and Electrical Equipment in Ontario (by Humber College);

-Other sector-specific workshops including industry projects and information on the Professional Engineering Ontario (PEO) licensing process.

The program also includes one-on-one coaching, job-search skills training and professional networking opportunities.
