Group Services
Would you like to learn to deal better with your child’s and family’s problems? Our Group Services can help. We offer many different groups that can help you and your child learn new skills.

Can you take part in our groups?
You can take part in our groups
  • if your child is under 18 years old, and
  • if your child live in the Region of Peel.

What do we do?

Our groups offer you and your child education, support, and treatment to help you manage problems in your family better.

In some groups, your child will learn skills that will help him or her behave better at home, in school, and in the community.

In other groups, your child will learn to feel better about himself or herself.

Some groups help your child feel less anxious or afraid.

In groups for parents, you can talk to other parents and learn from them.

These are some of the groups that you or your child can take part in:

  • COPEing with Challenging Behaviour,
  • COPEing with Toddler Behaviour,
  • Coping Power,
  • Feeling C.A.L.M. (Combat Anxiety and Learn to Manage),
  • Feeling Good about Being You: A Group for Moms,
  • First Contact,
  • Go Grrls! Club,
  • Grandparents Raising Grandkids,
  • The Incredible Years,
  • Learning about Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD),
  • Temper Taming for Boys and Parents, and
  • Teen Talk.

Childcare is available for some groups. Most groups meet once a week and last from 6 to 12 weeks.

We also offer a  Parenting Workshops Series in the summer. The workshops help you manage problems in your family better. They also help you take care of yourself. You attend a workshop for one evening.
