Canada

hands showing heart and canada flag

Before talking about Canadians, places and things that I like, I am supposed to explain a part of my story and my experience about life in Canada because I am a newcomer. In the following paragraph, I will talk  about welcoming Canadians, the diversity of population, the health service, the care about the homeless and people who have low income, and the help to learn English.

I have arrived in Canada on July 14, 2018 at the Trudeau Airport in Montréal. After passing the immigration and customs services, I felt very happy because I have succeeded in going through many steps to become a Permanent Resident. When I arrived here I appreciated very much Canadian welcoming and all the care that is very different in Cameroon. Here, there are a lot of services and offices in order to help newcomers to integrate with the society. All people here have always been very nice to me. They helped me when I had questions or a difficulty to understand a situation, to find a job, a house and to enroll my daughter in a Catholic School. They have helped me also to enroll in the English class.

Canada is a beautifull country where many people from all over the world live peacefully. Indeed, the Canadian population is diversified. In my house, I have Asian neighbors, and the cohabitation is amazing. I have tasted  different  foods.  Every day in this area is a discovery.

When I have arrived here, I have been surprised by the health care system. Indeed, this system is very different from Cameroon’s where if you are sick you pay before receiving the treatment. This is not the case here. If you are sick you don’t need money to be taken care of. All you need is your health card. Even if you are homeless, the government and the people who are living here take care of them, providing shelters and health services.

Canada is the best country to live.
