Canada

Calgary city skyline in warm evening light

For me travel has been a very good option to relax. It is always so exciting to go somewhere where you have never been before. I prefer travelling by car because you can take with you all you want and stop wherever you need. Many interesting places, people and adventures can happen on your way and it is such a nice experience that I love to share with my friends one day.

Since I came to Canada, I have already visited Alberta and Manitoba provinces and also discovered a lot in Saskatchewan during these five years. But the best places I visited are always the places I want to go back again.

Last summer my family and I went to see our friends that live close to Calgary. As always, we had planned this week long vacation for several weeks. And everything was great. It was my third trip to Alberta, but this time we visited different interesting places. We enjoyed to leave a big city, breathe fresh air, listen to the silence of nature, and most importantly, our kids were impressed with life on the farm.

On the first day upon arrival we decided to go with our friends to Waterton Lakes National Park. We spent a nice day there visiting different tourist places which were very interesting to us and the kids as well. A small cozy town Waterton has fascinated us with amazing views.

Next day we went to Calgary Heritage Park. All day long our family explored this beautiful living history museum. We found this place very interesting and we will have to go back again on our next trip to Alberta.

Our trip coincided with Canada Day celebration and we were happy to participate in many events which mostly took place in Prince’s Island Park. Also, my husband took us to the famous Calgary Tower and we all together enjoyed the breathtaking view from the top of the tower. This day ended with great fireworks in the town situated close to our friend’s farm where we stayed.

One week of family vacation ended very fast and we were happy to be home…and we dream again about our next trip to Alberta.
