My name is Sergey, and I am 48 years old. I’m from Belarus. For a long time I lived in a country with a Mediterranean climate, which means hot dry summers and cool rainy winters. There I met my beautiful wife. Four years ago, we decided to immigrate to Canada. This is a great place to build a new life.

Canada was a new country for us. I had a friend with whom I studied in college in my native country. He lived in Canada and we had not seen him for 20 years. We only talked on social networks. Despite this, he welcomed my big family and introduced us to his wife and two beautiful children. My friend and his wife helped us to adapt in Canada. In my native country we have a very popular expression which means it is better to have many friends than to have much money.

I think to start your life from scratch in another country is to hard. Our baby was born in Canada. Our older daughter finished college and she is working in an animal hospital.

n our native country my wife was a nurse, but here you must verify your trade, which is a long process. My wife started to work as a lifeguard in the swimming pool and at the same time engaged in the confirmation of her documents. Now she is a registered nurse and works in a hospital.

Our middle children are teenagers and study in high school and do sports. My daughter loves swimming and she is attending a lifeguard course. Our son enjoys basketball. My youngest son started kindergarten this year.
