Biography written on notebad

I am from Vietnam and I have been living in Canada for the last three years. I moved from Vietnam when I was 25 years old. Moving to Canada, I have had ups and downs. A down is having to change my job. I was a kindergarten teacher in Vietnam. Coming to Canada I had to switch jobs and learn a new language. The up is finding a job and meeting new friends. I am now a nail technician.

In my spare time I like to listen to music and watch movies. On the long weekend I like to spend time with my family and friends. I have a big family with three brothers and six sisters. We are very close and we enjoy each other’s company. I would like to improve my English, so I can pass my citizenship test and also have better communication skills.

Canada is wonderful. Here, there are friendly people. I can learn a lot from them. For example, we have to line up to buy something. Everyone is very polite. The scenery is beautiful. I am getting used to the Canadian lifestyle. I used to just work and go home and spend little time with my friends. Now, I have time to travel and spend more time with friends. I like being a nail technician because I like to make designs and give clients amazing nails, so when they love what I created it makes me happy at the end of the day.

My future goals are to speak English better, and then open my own shop. When I open my own nail salon I would have to spend a lot of time to build it from the bottom up, but I don’t mind the journey.
