Celebration

New Year is usually celebrated in multiple countries and in different times.

In China, people celebrate New Year as National Spring Day. They celebrate it in February.  In Japan, New Year is celebrated on December 24th and continued during the whole month.  In Thailand, New Year feast is in April 13^th, when the rainy season is starting.  In India, New Year is celebrated in March. This one is the most colorful holiday - Xoli. 

In Ukraine, people celebrate New Year from December 31st to January 1st since 1362. In this night family and friends meet together. At 12:00 am people make wishes and goals for next year. At that night people go outside to meet other friends to wish them a Happy New Year.  Some people are dancing, singing and drinking champagne.

I love this holiday because I spend time with my family. I feel that I have started something new in my life, but we also try to keep our traditions here in Canada.
