Celebration

In June 2015, one of friends of my mother came into our house and asked for my sister about her wedding and told my mother the details of one family and the boy.

My mother said that first she will do the religious prayers and if it will be good for her daughter then she will allow them to come in our house for meeting and discussion.

After the prayers, my mother asked them to come in our house. After one week, one women named Fouzia with some of her relatives came into our house, and after having tea and some cultural discussions, they told my mother that they really like my sister named Sadaf for her son named Furqan, and her whole family wants to come in our house for doing engagement.

After two weeks, whole family came in to our house with a lot of sweets. Our family also liked to them all and decided to do engagement. After that they said it's a month of Ramadan Kareem so the boy family asked that it would be very prosperous if we do Nikah cermony in this month.

We agreed on this and decided the date of Nikah (Nikah is the Islamic wedding between man and woman. After Nikah man and woman become husband and wife according to Islam). The date of Nikah was 10th of July, and we all had to do a lot of preparations, and also we all had to decide which Mosque will be nearer for both families. The boys will go in the Mosque, and women will remain in the house. On the 10th of July, after Zuhar prayer, the Nikah was completed and the boy’s family came into our house for congratulating us and my sister and brother in law talked first time for congratulating each other.

After Nikah, the boy’s family said that they wanted to celebrate this Nikah and wanted to invite all family members. We also found this idea good, and we all had only two weeks for all the preparations. We decided that the hall will be booked by the boy’s family and the dinner menu will be decided by the bride and groom.

Also we all have to do a lot of shopping because it was the first celebration of both families. We visited many markets and purchased different party clothes and decided parlour for preparing. All the girls went parlour, and after all preparations, we had to reach at hall on time at 7:00 PM.

When we reached at hall, the boy’s family welcomed all of us, and my brother in law welcomed my sister, and they both put rings on each other’s fingers and all family members of both families meet with each other. It was a great and enjoyable day for all of us, and we all enjoyed a lot. At the end we all took dinner and met with each other. After that, we all came home and we saved a lot of happy memories.
