Driving

hands on steering wheel

Right after I got my student driving license, I asked my brother to teach me how to drive. I had mixed feelings about my first day seating sitting behind the wheels. I felt nervous, but at the same time excited.

We used a manual transmission car. Before we started the engine, he taught me how to read, and interpreted the numbers of the speedometer in front the dashboard. He taught me when and how to use the brake, gas, the clutch and other accessories. It was a bit hard at first time, but my brother encouraged me and patiently helped me to build my confidence.

We went through many kinds of car issues while I was using it for practice. For example, our car brake broke because as a student driver, the way I was pressing the brake was very rough. I also broke the right side mirror because while I was doing the parking I hit the branch of a tree closed to my right side mirror.

After 3 months of consecutive practice, I was able to learn how to drive a manual transmission.
