There are many different places in the world with different styles. Today I would like to contrast Punjab in India and Shanghai in China because Punjab is my partner's hometown and Shanghai is my hometown. It's easy to contrast them due to a lot of differences between the two cities, such us the tourist attractions, natural environment and major industries.

First of all, the tourist attractions are different, and reflect the culture in these two cities and even in the two countries. In Punjab the most famous tourist attraction is a temple named the Golden Temple. It's quite beautiful. There are the Bund and Yu Gardens that are very hot and a lot of people visit them every day.

One similarity between these places is that they both have restaurants and transportation nearby. But there are also many differences. The temple in Punjab shows the great atmosphere of religion in Punjab and India. In contrast, The Bund and Yu gardens make Shanghai seems like a modern city. These are the differences between the tourist attractions in Punjab and Shanghai.

In addition, the natural environments are different. There are many beaches in Punjab but in Shanghai, there is a mountain without a lot of trees.

Punjab is a relaxing place. We can relax ourselves on beaches and there are a lot of activities like playing volleyball, swimming, making sand castles and sunbathing. However, people cut almost all of the trees down to make money in Shanghai, so Shanghai became a huge business city. The natural environment in Punjab and in Shanghai are also different.

Punjab and Shanghai are both beautiful cities with similarities and differences.
