Pastitsio

I’d like to share with you one of my favourite recipes, which I have now come to know as Pastitsio.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of pasta
  • 300 g ground beef
  • Salt (pinch)
  • ½ onion
  • Black pepper (pinch)
  • Tomato sauce (4 tsp)
  • Bechamel sauce (add accordingly)
  • Mozzarella (add accordingly)

Instructions:

First, boil pasta in hot water with salt.  Drain and set aside.

Next, chop ½ onion and fry it in pan with butter.  Add ground beef and sprinkle salt and black pepper.  Fry in pan for 15 minutes.

Then, add 4 tsp tomato sauce and leave frying in pan for another 10 minutes.

After, put half of pasta in tray.  Then, layer ground beef and tomato sauce and layer rest of pasta on top.

Next,  put one layer of bechamel sauce on top and sprinkle a little mozzarella on top as well.

Finally, put tray in oven and bake for 20 minutes.
