Self-Improvement

Happy senior couple from behind looking at front of house and car. Warm tone with sunlight

There is no comparison between how families live in my homeland, and in Canada. Here in Canada, there is no time for socializing or gathering around every day to have a simple visit without giving any notice before hand. Back in my homeland, you can visit your family and friends at any time. Let's say someone gets sick and has to stay home. They are going to have a visit from everybody they know, even from people out of town! If you need something, you will get so many offers from many people to help. Conversely, here in Canada the life is all about working and there is no time to do much except at certain times like holidays. Some research shows that happiness doesn't come from money or good health but from the love of people we are close to and having good relationships with family and friends. The idiom that I use to describe this is…..All That Glitters is Not Gold. Even if we achieve great wealth and many possessions, we still won’t be happy without our family, friends and social circle.
