East or West - Canada is the Best.

As we all know, every country has different people, culture, traditions. Different people live in different ways. Lifestyle changes from one country to another.
There are some common feelings among all people; like love, hate, fear, horror etc. It is so important to remember that we all just people doing our best.

The people of Afghanistan are kind. If we compare the people of Afghanistan in 1960 to now, it’s almost incomparable, from lifestyle to their behaviours. These days, Afghani people are just surviving. Depending on their situation, sometimes they have to lie, cheat or be dishonest merely to survive. They have not always been like that, but their lifestyle is very difficult. They live together, two or three families in the same home. This kind of living causes jealousy and hate toward each other. Most of the time they are not in a good mood, so it is all because of security and family problems. There are many educated, wise, and patient people too. But to be honest, these days we have few people like that left. But in the end, Afghani relatives always stand by each other, in each other’s happiness or sadness. In good and bad times, they are totally ready to help each other.

I found Canada one of the greatest countries in the world. I had heard about Canadian’s politeness when I came to here in 2015. At the airport, one of the police officers welcomed me and told me that I was a Canadian from that time forward. I felt very, very proud at that moment. My respect and love became more and more towards Canada and its people. Canadians have more patience and respect for others than anyone I have ever met. As I mentioned above, every community has good behavior and bad behavior in their population. Luckily, so far, I have met mostly good people. As I know Canada is multicultural, anyway, at the beginning, I met some ladies who didn’t behave well with me. I felt very sad, because I knew my difference from others was only my scarf.
One day, I met a lady at the park. She wasn’t behaving well. She couldn’t speak English well. I wished that I could have told her, you guys have only heard about bombing or other bad things. We are the survivors. I am far more scared of those things than you. I am scared and that’s why I am here. As a matter of fact, now I am happy that I didn’t say anything to her.

I love and respect Canada and Canadians.  In the other countries, an immigrant cannot get these rights and respect. I always pray for Canada ‘s stability and peace.

Afghanistan is my first home and I have many memories of it-good and bad.  I will always pray for its peace and progress. Even though my home is unstable, its love and respect are always stable in my heart. Canada and Afghanistan are my eyes.
