Travel (Outside of Canada)

Each person has several cities where he wants to visit. Usually these dreams are formed from childhood, movies, stories of friends and other people’s impressions. One of these cities was Chicago for me.

One day me and my husband decided to visit Chicago and went there by car. The round trip took almost 2000 km and 16 hours. But the impressions were so good that now I remember this trip with nostalgia and I’m ready to repeat it again.

Unlike most cities, where tourists pay attention only to the main attractions, every detail is interesting in Chicago. Even the quiet neighborhoods and small local parks are cozy and pleasant. There were many places outside downtown where you just wanted to walk for hours. This is the main feature of Chicago – it’s a city where you want to work, live and relax. We visited a lot of parks, restaurants and beaches with stunning views of Lake Michigan. Since this is one of the largest cities in the USA, we found not only a measured life, but also a lot of entertainments. The downtown impressed us with its size, liveliness, historical architecture and, of course, excellent food.

I want to believe that one day we will visit Chicago again and stay here longer. It is so large and multifaceted that you can always find something new in it.
