Self-Improvement

Asian man aiming for success, planning on milestone and road map to the top

When I went back and thought about my life, I’ve realized that there are so many great events which happened to me. It was after hearing a podcast talking about milestones of life which made me to go back and think about mine. Let me share you some of them.

My first and foremost milestone was my graduating day. I’m sure that you’re wondering what makes it special, because nowadays anyone could get this chance easily as long as you get educated. Well, my graduating day was so special for me because I was graduating with very high distinction. So that, I was the only one who got the gold medal prize of that year from my department. I wasn’t happy for myself, but I was for my mother. She has strived so hard for me and for my siblings in order to get educated in some way. So, at that moment when she saw me getting that honour, she was over the moon and so was I. Everyone could read her happiness and her pride on her face. I feel that was the best thing I’ve ever done for my mom during that time. That was the greatest event that happened in my life.

My second milestone is when I met my soul mate for the very first time and realized that we’re on the same page. The reason is he has been living in Canada for more than 8 years. We have never met before except chatting by social media. Then after 3 years of promising each other, he came back home for the first time and that was only for the sake of me. That gives me an incredible feeling throughout my life.

Moving to Canada was also a great turning point in my life. As I’ve grown in a large and close-knit family, it was difficult to be far away from them and start a new life. I think through this I’ve learned so many things though, such as being independent, making decisions by myself and it also made me strong.

The other one was when I hugged my daughter for the first time. It’s such a marvelous gift and has a great feeling. So, for the second time after moving to Canada, my life has totally changed.

In a nutshell, things happen in our life whether it’s good or bad. They might affect or change our life in some way starting from the way we think. So, the point is to take the good side and learn from that event.
