COVID-19

Image with medical staff, nurses and doctors.

My heroes are all hospital staff such as doctors, nurses, cleaning personnel, paramedics, stretcher-bearers, and all personnel who have been working at the hospitals, medical centres or nursing homes in the last four months during COVID-19 pandemic. They have risked their lives to fight the coronavirus, which has killed more than a million people in the world. The majority of them have left their homes and children to support and care for people who have been infected by the virus. In many cases, these personnel are working in precarious conditions and lack supplies, saving many lives by becoming the first army of white coats at the forefront of this complicated fight. However, there they continue firmly, ethically and convincingly leading the first line of defense.

These heroic personnel, who are facing the virus face to face throughout the world, have not stopped, so it is fair to recognize their dedication, their responsibility and their commitment to society. Hopefully, once the world health emergency is over, governments, companies and organizations will recognize the sector's personnel and in the short or medium term will vindicate them and improve their working conditions.

To sum up, all personnel who are giving their lives working, helping and saving many lives at hospitals, medical centres or nursing homes during Covid-19 are my heroes and they should be recognized for their dedication and solidarity around the world.
