Driving

Most of us have a car. We use it for a short trip or a long one, and it’s essential in some people’s life, but before driving a car we must have an insurance to drive legally in Ontario and across Canada. If a person is found driving a vehicle anywhere in Canada without insurance coverage, they will face penalties such as hefty fines and a license suspension extended even to a vehicle impounding.

The most common type of covering is a direct compensation insurance that means in case of a collision you make a claim to your insurance company not to the other driver one. For instance, if you were not at fault in an accident your insurance premium would not go up, but if you were at fault and you have a no collision insurance (“one way”) you must fix your car on your own.

The second type of a car insurance is a collision insurance which allows you to have your car fixed by the insurance company no matter if you were at fault or not minus deductible.

In conclusion, we have to get a proper insurance covering according to our needs and keep it in the car all the time in order to avoid fines and protect ourselves in case of an accident.
