The invention and increasing use of cars has dramatically changed our lives. The most obvious change for people was that cars gave them a way to get around quickly. Where people live has also been influenced by the automobile. The more widely used cars became the more they began to affect the daily lives. The car played a major role in the spreading out of suburbs. It has heavily influenced family life, and made for a more mobile society. The role of women in society was also affected by the car. Cars provided better personal transportation and allowed people to travel greater distances in less time. A more obvious impact from the cars is the large number of jobs that were created. Despite all these positive effects of cars, there are still negative effects, too. The modern negative consequences of heavy cars use include the use of non-renewable fuels, a dramatic increase in the rate of accidental death, the rise in obesity, the emission of air and noise pollution. However, the invention of cars has dramatically changed our lives and made our lives easier.
