Canada

Moose on highway - canadian road

No one could expect that I will travel and live in Canada. I grew up in Turkey and I was my dad’s little girl. The little girl became a young woman who got married. My husband is Turkish but he lives in Canada. He asked me to travel and be with him. I have been in Canada for four years. I was very excited to move to a different country.

I had no idea about Canada. The first few years were difficult, because I didn't know how to speak English well. I joined LINC HOME STUDY and it made a big difference in my life. I wait for my classes every week and I love doing my homework. Actually, these classes have motivated me to improve myself and achieve my goals.

My husband and I decided to go on a trip and visit all Canadian provinces by car. Except Nunavut and Northwest Territories, where there are no roads connecting to the rest of Canada. We saw a moose in Newfoundland. We saw a black bear and two babies in British Columbia. It was the first time for me to see such animals. I did not realize the size of the moose till then. I think we were so lucky to see the baby bears. Baby bears are so beautiful and cute. What a great experience!

We camped at different National Parks all around Canada. Visiting each Canadian province taught me a lot about their beauty. Before I came to Canada, I didn't know Canada was such a big country with so many lakes and forests. Canadians say "eh". An expression that is unique for them only and I learned it from them.

In terms of weather, Canada has a very nice summer and a cold winter. Unlike others, I love the snow and I like the cold weather. I am really lucky to live in Canada.
