Male High School Basketball Team Playing Game

I remember when I was in high school; my biggest obstacle that posed a big challenge was when I was learning how to play basketball.

During our P.E. time every Friday as scheduled, I always had the feeling of trepidation. As being there with my team classmates, it felt uncomfortable making mistakes from dribbling to passing and to shooting the ball through a hoop elevated 10 feet above the ground.

I was miserably stressed out for I wasn't skilled enough to play such a game compared to my other classmates. When I reached a low moment, I subjected myself to a brutal self assessment of why things weren't working.

To overcome this, I started playing basketball more often during the weekends along with my friends in the neighborhood. I didn't care about the outcome no matter how many mistakes I made regardless of the score or the stakes. I just had to set in my mind to the "go for it" rule. As we started playing basketball every Friday, I become more relaxed and had fun then.
