It is really my pleasure to write this biography. I have a great family in Egypt, my wonderful and lovely mother, beautiful sisters and smart brothers. I am deeply missing my great father. He was really one of the best. My family is so kind, nice and social. My parents made a huge effort to make us well educated.

I finished my studying in Civil Engineering from Ain Shams University, Egypt. I spent five years to get my degree in Engineering. During this time, I had many friends and colleagues. We enjoyed our times by attending lectures, doing assignments, submitting projects, and eating lunch together. l still remember the beauty of these moments.

I have now more than five years of experience working in the industry. I worked as a designer and field engineer for around two years. I was working as a Project Engineer when I got a permanent job at the governmental city council. I was responsible at this time for many tasks such as estimating projects’ costs, scheduling project activities and training junior engineers.

I got engaged and married to the person who I really love and respect. The wedding party was held in one of the nice family clubs in Egypt. All my relatives attended the party. My white wedding dress was so simple and my make-up as well. I danced and sang a song by “Mayada El Henawy”, an Arabic singer. My husband sang a song by an Egyptian singer, ”Amr Diab”. My little brother made a lot of funny jokes and imitated the voice of many Egyptians actors. When the party ended, I couldn’t stop my tears when I was kissing my mothers’ hands. My mother whispered to me, “This is the start of an amazing life!!!”

When I came to Canada, I was afraid of not getting used to the new life. However, I was impressed by my first feeling of adventure. I have enjoyed living in Canada, discovering new places such as new shopping malls, watching movies at the cinema and having barbeque parties in the park. I have two sons and one daughter. I like the organized working days in Canada, starting from 6 am and ending by 6 pm. I have enjoyed clean daycares and schools for my kids.

A few issues have made me not happy such as the costly living and the difficulty to find a job. I started looking for a job as an Engineer, but I couldn’t find one. I have worked temporary contracts as a Financial Collector and as a Cost Engineer. Currently, I am working now to improve my English skills. I am planning to be involved in some of the training programs to increase my chances of getting a job in my field. I look forward to finding a new permanent job, to visiting many new places in this country, and continuing my Canadian adventure.
