Ingredients:

  • Prawns 1 lb
  • onions 1
  • Green Chilly 2
  • Ginger/garlic paste 1 Tablespoons
  • Curry leaves 1 stem
  • Coconut Oil 2 Tablespoons
  • Chili powder 2 Teaspoons
  • Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt 2 Teaspoon

How to Prepare:

  1. Wash and clean the prawns
  2. Marinate the prawns with half the chili powder, turmeric, ginger and garlic and salt and keep it aside for about one or two hours
  3. In a frying pan add oil and heat high
  4. Cut the onions and green chilies into small pieces and add them to the pan with curry leaves and the remaining ginger and garlic paste
  5. Add the remaining turmeric and red chili powder
  6. Mix well and let it fry with little water to cook
  7. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for about 5 minutes
  8. Let all the water evaporate and bring it to a masala consistency but not too dry
  9. Add coconut oil and stir well once and turn off the heat
  10. Serve hot with any dish or just as snacks
