I live in Hawkesbury. We have a hobby farm in Saint-Eugene. It's located in the township of east Hawkesbury in the united counties of Prescott and Russel in Ontario. It's on the inter-provincial border with Quebec.

Saint-Eugene is a small village with a lot of farms. The nature is beautiful over there and it is a very peaceful place.

We have in our farm, two horses, a few sheep, chickens, geese, peacocks and a  few birds. When my husband finishes work, he goes to the farm to feed the animals and take care of them.

Every weekend my husband goes to the farm and spends the whole day over there. Sometimes I go as well with my son, to help him. This summer my husband built a small greenhouse. During the weekend I am busy with the greenhouse. I really enjoy picking all the tomatoes that have grown. I also go into the chicken coop to grab eggs. We always share eggs with family and friends. Our horses enjoy eating vegetables and fruit as a treat. There are a few vegetables and fruits that my husband gives to the horses. They are celery, carrots, corn, apples etc. I sometimes take a curry comb to brush our horses, because it's good for their skin and muscles. My son loves to go to the farm and play there. He enjoys watching the animals.

In the future we are planning on building an even bigger greenhouse, and planting a wider variety of fruit and vegetables.
