I come from Shenyang, China, which is near Beijing, and have been in Canada for more than four years. I was an accountant before in China, but I am a Personal Support Worker now. I like my job because I am happy when I am with my clients. The best thing is communicating with clients and practicing English. The people are happy when I’m with them. I’m helping them.

I came to Canada for my son. He can get a better education here and is healthier because he has asthma. Air pollution is not good for him. I like Canada because of the fresh air and nice Canadian people.

I live with my family. My husband is a gas technician and my son is at McMaster University in Hamilton studying Math and Business. I like travelling, reading and going out with my family when I have free time. We went to Niagara-on- the-Lake this year. I hope I can study English well and find a better job to make more money. I am interested in teaching Chinese medicine or in teaching the Chinese language here.
