Canada

It always seems impossible until it's done. (Nelson Mandela)

When family and friends keep asking me about our life in Canada, for some time now I still delay realizing that we really are far away from them. Only a few years ago we first considered moving to Canada, and it wasn't such a simple decision. Maybe I just avoided thinking about it, and it happened. Sometimes, I can't believe that we actually did it.

We speak with our family and friends very often. We discuss how it is to live here. I keep sending to them amazing photos, but it is pretty hard to show the beauty of Canadian nature or life in here through the pictures. I can't get used to this beauty that is just everywhere.

I was thinking that my favourite season is Spring. I was sure that FALL is not my cup of tea. Recently,  I have changed my mind.  It felt like a fairytale when leaves changed their colour, everything was golden, it just made my day. And suddenly one morning, I looked around me and realized that another magical thing happened. Almost all trees took off their colourful jackets and exchanged them for warm and cozy coats that Santa had sent them.

Again and again, people keep asking me,  how is it to live in another country. And it really looked impossible when I look back, I couldn't even dream that I would live with this breath-taking beauty. I will keep sharing, describing and telling our family about this beautiful country and we will feel a little closer, even with oceans keeping us apart.

I also try to explain that Canadian nature is only a drop in the ocean. Positive emotions are everywhere here.  Friendly people from different cultures and with different accents that smile at each other, that respect each other and let each other exist; beautiful parks, so many different activities in every season,  delicious food, and so many other things.

So, yes, I honestly miss my family and friends, but I am happy that I had the opportunity to become a part of this interesting and amazing land.
