Volunteering is working in an organization to help people by using simple or professional skills on a regular schedule for free.

There are some personal and community benefits by  working as a volunteer.

The personal benefits are:

To work as a volunteer, it will give you experience especially if volunteering with older people, because they will give advice from what they had learned from life.

Volunteering your time is the best way to get friends; maybe meet people similar to your personality.

You  get  positive energy when you  do whatever you can with a happy feeling.

Even though working as a volunteer is free, it should be a reason for one day to find a job. It gives you an idea about that work.

Volunteering has many benefits to the community; one of these benefits is filling the shortage in an organization.

My recommendation is to work as a volunteer before choosing a career because it  is a good way to get an idea if you fit with this job or not.

In spite of working as a volunteer being free, it is not easy to work as a volunteer.

In fact, especially these days, every organization has  conditions when offering a position to work as a volunteer, because they try to make it much more organized;  like how much benefits you will get, and how much your work is worth for that organization.
