My first winter in Canada was cold. The weather was unfamiliar to me. I came to Ottawa 6 years ago from Eritirea. The weather changes very fast in Canada. I had a gift from my sponsor which was the sweater and it became very cold quickly. So many people were worrying about me there and gave me advice saying you have to dress with a warm jacket and winter boots. I also got advice about driving in the winter. Make sure that your vehicle is prepared for winter and winter tires are a good option. Keep a snow brush scraper in your car and make sure that mirrors, all windows, and the top of your vehicle are free of snow and drive smoothly slowly and safety.
