Settlement

Sun and clouds beautiful natural religion background

Last year I had many experiences that changed my life such as getting pregnant, being a mother, living in a new country, speaking a different language, eating different meals, and living in a country where there are several cultures. The list is large, but the most important thing is that in all these changes in my life I have felt the power of God helping me every moment.

In the following paragraph I am going to describe how God sent me a son to help me live in this new country, Canada.

My husband and I had to come to Canada last year and of course we believed that would be somehow difficult, but when we knew that I was pregnant we were very afraid thinking that would be more difficult with a child to find work, earn money, make new friends and get used to the weather. I didn`t understand why we had to have a child when we needed to move so far from family and friends, but all the time we prayed to God with a lot of faith. And God helped us. Since the moment that my husband and I got into the airplane, we met people that helped us with English and we arrived with no difficulty.

Days passed, and the cold fall arrived, and then the winter followed, but I didn`t feel cold during my pregnancy. Then I could feel the power of God in the excellent attention of the doctors and nurses. When the day of the delivery arrived, I spoke English less than I speak now, but friends were with my husband and me all the time helping us. Canada has a lot of services to pregnant women and parents and through these programs we received the advice that our relatives could not give us from the distance. Through these programs we got friends and important connections with other organizations like LINC Home Study and I could continue studying.  Our son is the main motivation that moves my husband to work and study so hard.

Definitely our son has been a blessing and arrived in the perfect moment, but he is just one of the many blessings that now allow us to enjoy living in Canada.
