Sports is the source of energy in life, it is not only for fun or entertainment but also provides us with so many benefits that carry over in all aspects of our life. There are so many types of sports in the world that differ from one country to another, some of them can be played alone and others have to be in groups or teams. There is always a type of sport that is suitable for everyone. 

My favorite sports are walking, swimming, basketball and watching football games, but the main one is walking. I used to walk on a regular basis about half an hour along the beach back home in Alexandria with the fresh air and the best smell of the salty water of the sea. When I came here, I tried to walk in the nearby park in summer and indoors in winter. Knowing the great benefits of walking such as weight loss which is the reason of many diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. Research has shown that it helps in raising your mood from depression, that and more encourages to me walk as much as I can.

Also, another one of my best favorite leisure activities is listening to music because it not only helps me to relax but also provides me with some knowledge of different types of music. I like to listen to all types of music, but I enjoy listening to classical the most as it reminds me of the best family times back home in Egypt. We used to enjoy it as a family and would listen to one of the most famous Arabic singers, Om Kalsoom, every first Thursday night of the month, it is one of my best memories of home.  Sports and music are both wonderful hobbies that mean you can live a more fulfilled and healthy life.
