I want to tell you how important it is to be active, and I want to encourage you to do any form of exercise to stay healthy, to get in good shape and to improve your appearance. When you are active basically your emotional health improves. Any form of activity like dancing, walking, skiing, fitness, tennis or group sports makes you feel more happy, peaceful and helps to control your weight.

How did I start my journey with sports in Toronto?

Well, a few years ago I was looking for a place where I can be active and as a newcomer where I can make friends. I started my research about "Recreation Facilities in Toronto"  and I found a "FUN GUIDE" that helped me to find a large field of Toronto community recreation centres that offers many programs for all interests and age parties. One of my favourite activity during winter time is to play volleyball where you can find yourself doing drop-ins at community centres. Don't forget about swimming pools or badminton places that are almost everywhere around us. As for summer time, it is amazing to play beach volleyball, basketball as well as tennis - where Toronto has many courts to offer for free.

However, there are so many parks around us that are amazing to do hiking. I think this is the easiest way to start your journey with being active.

Above all, it is also important to find fun in any activity you choose and that will help you to meet your exercise goal, so get your body moving. If you think about it "To be active doesn't cost a thing". Find your motivation, set your goal, do your research, have fun and enjoy your adventure with being active among making friends.
