Celebration

chinese new year graphic greeting

The 2018 Chinese New Year is the year of dog. It's quite special this year since it starts on a PA day, February 16; the following day is the Family Day long weekend. Therefore, we had plenty of time to celebrate Chinese New Year. On New Year’s Day, we woke up early and dressed up in new clothes representing a good start of the new year. We gave red envelops to the kids with money inside, so good luck will be with them. Then we went out to a Chinese Restaurant to have Dim Sum. Later we visited my parents and relatives. We greeted each other wishing all the best in the new year, reviewed last year, and expressed hope a better year is coming. We had big dinner at night with my parents and relatives to celebrate the New Year. In China, there is a lot more celebration activities. Here in Canada, we keep out celebration simple.
