Homeland

I am from Damascus. I love it, and I haven't seen it since 2012.

All my good memories in Damascus, I met my husband, my best friends, and I got my children there. For me it's not a normal city, there is a special spirit there. People say "if you drink water of Damascus, you'll feel in love with it.
Damascus is located in the south-western corner of Syria. It has been called the "Pearl of the East". And nicknamed as the "City of Jasmine ". A popular story about the prophet Muhammed's journey to Syria recounts that he refused to go in Damascus, as a man should only enter Paradise once. Damascus is a major cultural and religious centre of the Levant. Damascus is the oldest capital in the world so there are many archaeological attractions there like the Omayyad mosque, al Azem palace, al Saeyda church,......and Damascus citadel. I hope to visit my city soon. I have missed my country and my soul there. 

I hope peace for Damascus and whole Syria and I hope peace for all the world.
