Ghormeh sabzi on white and gold plate

To make a delicious stew that called Gorme-Sabzi, you need to follow these steps.

  1. Fry onion, turmeric, and garlic.
  2. Trim meat (preferably lamb) and cut into small cubes. Then, stir over high heat.
  3. Add dried limes (make small holes in them), water, soaked dried kidney beans, salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Add prepared vegetables (mixture of parsley, leeks, fenugreek leaves) to frying pan and wait for few minutes.
  5. Add herbs to meat and beans, cover it and simmer for 2 hours.
  6. Serve it with white cooked rice.
