Technology

There are many benefits to technology. Technologies are the force of human progress. Technologies push us to next levels of development, making human life safer, easier, and healthier. Technologies open new horizons. The physical distance between people is not important anymore. We may connect and interact virtually. Robots are replacing human beings and sometimes creating unsafe situations as people improve their skills faster by using simulation programs.

On the other hand, technology, which has from the beginning a good purpose, may be destructive. DNA engineering, Organic Modified Organisms, electronic devices, etc. have become a point of discussion in our society. Contemporary society is divided into 2 big groups. One has a positive attitude towards it and sees innovation as a vital part of contemporary society; the other one blames it on technology as being harmful and destructive.

In my opinion, it is up to every person how to use innovations and technologies for their needs. The abuse is always harmful either if one talks about gambling, which was design as a relaxing activity, or alcohol and speeding. Having it all is good up to a certain limit. Beyond the boundaries there is the possibility for people to start ruining their lives. This is the same with technology. It is often challenging because innovations are overwhelming and there is no time to figure out how to deal with them. I believe in our days self-education is a solution. There is a lot of information available online, easy, and quick to be accessed. It is every person’s responsibility to gather information to protect themselves from harmful effects of technological inventions or reap the benefits. It is all a choice.
