I would like to share a movie trailer that I saw with you and let you know about the story. The name of the movie is “Serenity.” This is an interesting looking movie that shows the story of a woman apparently married to a psychopath. He is a very bad man who is extremely jealous and punishes and mistreats her physically and mentally.

The woman, who is apparently desperate for this situation to end, hired someone to make the husband ‘disappear.’ Here is the twist in the story I think happens-she will end up in love with him. I think this movie is important because it shows us that abuse is happening every day in our society.

The percentage of battered women physically and mentally increases every day. It is all around us, but we can change it if we try. How? First, we should instil in our girls from a very young age that they must value themselves and that they learn that no one should ever hurt them. We have to teach our boys that woman should be valued and treated with respect. In this way, boys will grow up to be good men and treat women in their lives as equals. I hope I can see this in my lifetime.
