Winter 2015

Young couple in a jump on the sea beach at sunset concept of long-awaited vacation

My wife had a plan to go traveling abroad somewhere in the Caribbean during her winter vacation in 2012. Because it is normally very cold in Canada in winter, it would have been a great idea to spend several days on the warm and breezy beach sipping some cocktails, reading books and taking some naps.

However, it was only 3 months after our honeymoon in Hawaii, so I couldn't show her my willingness immediately when she told me about her plan, and it eventually made her frustrated badly. At that time, I completely forgot one important rule in the early stage of marriage: no one can disagree with their spouse.

Regardless of my hesitation and her frustration, a few weeks later, I found that my wife and I were on the beach in the Dominican Republic as she planned. There were some exotic shows at night in the resort where we stayed, and there were many nice restaurants that we could go to. We were able to have a lot of fun and rest there.

To conclude, I had to admit it was a good plan, and I learned that an immediate positive reaction to my wife would make my life a lot easier.
