Hardware dinner on plate from screw, bolt and nut

Every time that we go to Toronto, there is one unique reason for, on a whim, spending a bundle on good food and coming back grinning from ear to ear. Since last time we went there, we have had fantasies about which restaurant lady luck would let us pay a visit. Most of the time, the experience in Toronto is very pleasant, but it is not a rule.

Last summer in during one of those opportunities, we were with some friends, and they invited us to go to a restaurant that they had mentioned a few times. It went to our heads and we agreed in a flash. Arriving at the location, I had some bad feelings about the restaurant that I thought could be just a first impression. I know I have a gift of detecting bad restaurants just from smelling the air while I step in, but I just ignored it. After all, we were with friends, and certainly we would have fun. Then, we took our seats at the table and placed the order.

The service was not bad, but not good. A few minutes later, our plates arrived, and we started to eat. When my friend put a chunk of his dish inside his mouth, he discovered something unusual, with a lumpy feeling. He took the thing from his mouth and discovered a new ingredient to his dish. I was a nut, but not a peanut or an almond... It was a nut that comes with bolts!

All of us were in shock. We called the server and showed him the construction piece. In a whirlwind of activity that came after, we paid the check and left the restaurant without intention to come back by any means.
