Here is some vocabulary from this edition. Do you know what the words mean?

accumulate
to gradually get more and more money, possessions, knowledge etc over a period of time

adrenaline
a chemical produced by your body when you are afraid, angry, or excited, which makes your heart beat faster 

bait
food used to attract fish, animals, or birds so that you can catch them

boardwalk
a raised path made of wood, usually built next to the sea

brine
water that contains a lot of salt and is used for preserving food

craze
a fashion, game, type of music etc that becomes very popular for a short time 

depict
to describe something or someone in writing or speech, or to show them in a painting, picture etc

differentiate
to recognize or express the difference between things or people

eclectic
a mixture of many different things or people

endurance
the ability to continue doing something difficult or painful over a long period of time

gala
a public entertainment or performance to celebrate a special occasion

hygiene
the practice of keeping yourself and the things around you clean in order to prevent diseases

impound
keep something until it has been decided that you can have it back

improbable
not likely to happen or to be true

internship
 job that lasts for a short time, that someone, especially a student, does in order to gain experience

obstacle
something that makes it difficult to achieve something

perilous
very dangerous

periphery
the edge of an area

personnel
the people who work in a company, organization, or military force

precarious
a situation or state is one which may very easily or quickly become worse

prestigious
admired as one of the best and most important

realtor
a person whose job is to sell houses or land for other people

rehearse
to practise something such as a play or concert in order to prepare for a public performance

sparse
existing only in small amounts

strive
to make a great effort to achieve something

sympathetic
caring and feeling sorry about someone’s problems

tournament
a competition in which players compete against each other in a series of games until there is one winner

vulnerable
easily harmed or hurt
