avatar
a person or animal who is really a god in human or animal form

captivate
to attract someone very much, and hold their attention

chatbot
a computer program designed to send messages back to a human user, as if it is having a conversation

coveted
to have a very strong desire to have something that someone else has

cramped
not have enough space for the people in it 

delectable
extremely pleasant to taste or smell

depression
a feeling of sadness that makes you think there is no hope for the future

enthusiastic
feeling or showing a lot of interest and excitement about something

fan
someone who likes a particular sport or performing art very much, or who admires a famous person

fraud
the crime of deceiving people in order to gain something such as money or goods

homesick
feeling unhappy because you are a long way from your home

immense
extremely large

infrastructure
the basic systems and structures that a country or organization needs in order to work properly, for example roads, railways, banks etc

instill
to teach someone to think, behave, or feel in a particular way over a period of time

invincible
too strong to be destroyed or defeated

mythical
imagined or invented

outskirts
the parts of a town or city that are furthest from the centre

pandemic
a disease that affects people over a very large area or the whole world 

patriarch
an old man who is respected as the head of a family or tribe 

relocate
move to a different place

soggy
unpleasantly wet and soft

unpotable
not pleasant or safe enough to be drunk

unrealistic
not reasonable or sensible

vocation
a particular type of work that you feel is right for you
