Here is some vocabulary from this edition. Do you know what the words mean?

abundance
a large quantity of something

anatomy
the scientific study of the structure of human or animal bodies

auspicious
showing or suggesting that future success is likely

cuddly
a person, animal or thing that makes you want to cuddle them

damp
slightly wet, often in an unpleasant way

debt
a sum of money that a person or organization owes

dormant
not active or not growing at the present time but able to be active later

drought
a long period of dry weather when there is not enough water for plants and animals to live

elated
extremely happy and excited

envious
wanting something that someone else has

excess
a larger amount of something than is allowed or needed

exquisite
extremely beautiful and very delicately made

honeymoon
a holiday taken by two people who have just got married

inflation
a continuing increase in prices, or the rate at which prices increase

leisure
time when you are not working or studying and can relax and do things you enjoy

merge
(v) to combine, or to join things together to form one thing

multicultural
involving or including people or ideas from many different countries, races, or religions

norm
the usual or normal situation, way of doing something etc

orthodontist
a dentist whose job is to help teeth to grow straight when they have not been growing correctly

quarrel
(n) an angry argument or disagreement

tricky
something difficult to deal with or do because it is complicated and full of problems

unwind
to relax and stop feeling anxious

weed
(v) to remove unwanted plants from a garden or other place

withstand
to be strong enough to remain unharmed by something
