Here is some vocabulary from this edition. Do you know what the words mean?

abolish
to officially end a law, system etc, especially one that has existed for a long time

ace
to win or succeed in a competitive situation

affordable
cheap enough for most people to afford

atheism
the belief that God does not exist

colonial
relating to a country that controls and rules other countries, usually ones that are far away

crucial
extremely important, because everything else depends on it

customary
something that is customary is normal because it is the way something is usually done

dojo
a room or hall in which judo and other martial arts are practiced.

junk
old or unwanted objects that have no use or value

loon
a large North American bird that eats fish and that makes a long high sound

lure
anything that attracts, entices, or allures. the power of attracting or enticing. a decoy

pagan
religious beliefs and customs that do not belong to any of the main religions of the world, and may come from a time before these religions

procrastination
to be slow or late about doing something that should be done

rebate
an amount of money that is paid back to you when you have paid too much tax, rent etc

reliable
someone or something that is reliable can be trusted or depended on

roam
to walk or travel, usually for a long time, with no clear purpose or direction

stamina
physical or mental strength that lets you continue doing something for a long time without getting tired
