Our family had a fun fishing trip at Cloud Lake, which is located southwest of Thunder Bay. The lake is more than 40 km from our house, and it took us a little over an hour to drive there. We left home at 10 a.m. and arrived around 11 a.m.

The weather was sunny but quite cool, and the sights were beautiful. After finding a parking spot, we looked for a good place to fish. There were many children there, and we all chose spots along the bank of the lake. Each person had a fishing rod and bait. While fishing, we chatted and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.

We brought some snacks, fruits, and drinks with us. Around lunch, we took a break to eat and talk, even though we hadn’t caught any fish yet. Because it was quite sunny, we stopped fishing and moved to a shady spot under big trees to rest. We decided to come back home around 1 p.m. and arrived close to 3 p.m.

Even though we didn’t catch any fish, the kids had a great time. They were excited to try fishing at such a big, beautiful lake surrounded by nature. Around 4 p.m., a small storm hit Thunder Bay. Luckily, our house was not damaged. For safety reasons, we decided to stay home and skipped the fireworks at Marina Park as we had originally planned.
