Terry Fox
Terry Fox was born in Winnipeg on July 28. He was an important athlete who ran across Canada to raise money for cancer research.
Terry Fox was diagnosed with osteosarcoma when he was 18 years old, and he was amputated on his right leg. After that he decided to run from East Coast to West Cost to raise money for cancer research. When he started running no body knew him but when he ended his marathon he was known throughout the country, and he recollected 24 million dollars.
Today people around the world run Terry Fox marathon.
John McCrae
John McCrae was born in Guelph in 1872. He studied medicine in the Toronto University; He also developed his passion for poetry and serve like a soldier and a doctor in wars.
During World War I, McCrae served as a surgeon with a Canadian artillery brigade in Belgium. During this war, John McCrae’s a friend dead and he composed a poem “In Flanders Field”. This poem gain recognition and made the red poppy a symbol.
Bryan Adams
Bryan Adams was born in Kingston Ontario in Canada and is globally known as a singer, songwriter and as a rock star. He is recognized as one of the best singers in Canada.
He has won a lot of awards on his music career. He also has developed a career as a photographer and his job has been published in important magazines like Vogue, Vanity Fair. And he also has dedicated part of his life as a social activist and philanthropist, in fact, he has a foundation for this purpose.
