I absolutely love spicy food, and I can’t live without it. In Korea, using hot peppers in dishes is very common, so I naturally grew up eating spicy foods like tteokbokki, kimchi, and spicy ramen. It sometimes makes me sweat or even hurts a little. but I still love and enjoy spicy food. There are several reasons why I love spicy food. First, it helps me relieve stress. When I’m really stressed, I start craving spicy food. And after eating it, I actually feel much better. Second, believe or not, I think spicy food has an antioxidant effect. It feels like it cleans me out from the inside. Last, spicy food makes me feel more alive. When I am bored, sleepy, or lazy, it gives me a turning point in my day. It wakes me up and gets me out of my laziness. To sum up, spicy food gives me both comfort and energy, so it’s essential in my life. Even though too much spice might not be good for my health, I just can’t give it up.
