Parenthood

In my opinion, a good age for a child to have a cell phone is 13 years old. First of all, most children start going to school alone or with friends at this age, so they need a phone to call their parents. They need a phone to let their parents know that they have arrived at school and at home safely. Also, if there is a problem or some danger, they can call for help. Second, they can use the phone to do homework and learn new things. They can do research for homework assignments using Google. For example, they can watch YouTube to learn how to cook or play an instrument. Third, they are old enough to understand the rules and use the phone responsibly. By 13 years old, children are more mature. That is why I think 13 is the best age for a child to get a cell phone.
