My Story text on orange background

My name is Luis Felipe. I am 38 years old. I am from Brazil, and I have lived in Canada since October 2019.

I grew up in Sao Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo, Brazil. I started my first job in 2005 in production manufacturing, which awakened my interest in Quality Assurance in 2010 when the company offered me a job in the Department of Quality and some courses in Quality Assurance.

In 2011, I started taking college courses in Quality Management. With this knowledge, I worked in the Automotive and Food segments as a Quality Inspector, Quality Assistant, and Quality Control Technician.

Here In Canada, I worked at Toyota Boshoku for three and a half years as an end of line Weld Inspector and team leader in Quality Control Weld. I also worked at Cargill in General Labour, Shipping and Receiving, and as an Hourly Trainer. Actually, I work at ADJ Industries in London, QA Inspector II.

I have chosen Fanshawe College because I have good references from my wife and friends after completing the course. The company gives more opportunities for people who study in Canada. I decided to enroll in the course “Communication for Quality Assurance” to see if I can improve my understanding because my English is not very good when I need to write. This is a challenge I would like to take on this year. After completing the course, I will think more about a direction for my career in Quality in Canada. If I study here, I have more chances to find work beyond Quality Inspection. I feel I can grow more professionally.

Last year, I discovered more hobbies working on my home on projects by myself well as working out and running. These activities help me relax.
