Here is some vocabulary from this edition. Do you know what the words mean?

allergy
a medical condition in which you become ill or in which your skin becomes red and painful because you have eaten or touched a particular substance

bankruptcy
the state of being unable to pay your debts 

bookkeeper
a person whose job is to make an official record of all the money received into and paid out from a business

bungalow
a house that is all on ground level

compulsory
something that is compulsory must be done because it is the law or because someone in authority orders you to

cryptocurrency
digital currency

elective
course is one that students can choose to take, although they do not have to take it in order to graduate

embargo
an official order to stop trade with another country

fiscal
relating to money, taxes, debts etc that are owned and managed by the government

habitat
the natural home of a plant or animal

herd
a group of animals of one kind that live and feed together

internship
a job that lasts for a short time, that someone, especially a student, does in order to gain experience

junction
a place where one road, track etc joins another

pediatrician
a doctor who deals with children and their illnesses

pupils
someone who is being taught, especially a child

retire
to stop working, usually because you have reached a certain age

scammer
a clever but dishonest way to get money

sedentary
spending a lot of time sitting down, and not moving or exercising very much

spur
to make an improvement or change happen faster 

stadium
a building for public events, especially sports

upfront
paid before any work has been done or before goods are supplied

verify
to discover whether something is correct or true

viticulture
the science or practice of growing grapes for making wine

vocational
teaching or relating to the skills you need to do a particular job

yearn
to have a strong desire for something
