1.  Add an "s" to a noun to make it plural.

  Singular
  Plural

Example:

Singular   - The girl walks.
Plural        - The girls walk.

2.  Add an "es" if the noun ends with a (s, sh, ch, x, or z) sound.

  Singular
  Plural
  church
  churches

  boxes
  kiss
  kisses
  dish
  dishes
  buzz
  buzzes

Example:

Singular   - The watch ticks.
Plural        - The watches tick.

3.  Add "ies" if the noun ends with a consonant and "y."

  Singular
  Plural

  cherry
  cherries

Example:

Singular   - The baby cries.
Plural        - The babies cry.
