Promoting and Protecting Girls’ Rights

May 27, 2013 - Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird and the Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Minister for Status of Women, will on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, officially open an exhibit of powerful photographs that shine light on the barbaric practice of early forced marriage.

The exhibit, Too Young to Wed, is presented by Carleton University, the United Nations Population Fund and the Government of Canada, for which promoting and protecting the rights of women and girls is an important element of foreign policy.

4 p.m. ET
1st floor, St. Patrick’s Building (across from the University Art Gallery), Carleton University, 1125 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, Ontario

Parking will be available at Carleton University Parking Lot 6.
